Start by taking care of business with your own health

The government forced to sweep through the "reform" of U.S. health care system earlier this year, and although most Americans are not happy with it, it seems that the "new normal" in the U.S. health care . Unfortunately, although the legislation may have been born of good intentions, the prevailing thought is that, over time, if not repealed, it will lead to mediocre (at best) health care government forced all Americans. As a harbinger of things to come, consider the recent FDA decision to ban a drug for breast cancer based solely on cost. Have you heard of this? It seems a major pharmaceutical company sank a lot of money in creating this solution, and succeeded in giving a drug that has shown in all their tests to stop breast cancer development. Not cheap, though ... more than seven thousand dollars a month. Now, some people still can afford something like that ... and there are charities that specialize in subsidizing the use of drugs like this for those who can not. However, the government seems to have decided that "if everyone can not have it, then nobody can." This is only a sample of what's coming. What does this have to do with your personal health? What can you do about it?

There are two things you can do to help prepare for the future of the limited medical care in the United States, serious about their health habits in a day (so postpone and lessen their need for medical personnel) and think about starting a business related to health and vitality (to help others to assume personal responsibility for their own health habits.)

I have discussed in previous articles the five key health habits every day that I call The NEWSS: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sleep and supplements. Ideally, you should follow good basic nutrition program that works well for you - in my case, the low-carb approach has worked best of the many approaches I've tried. You need at least five good workouts a week, raising your heart rate to your target aerobic (about 80% of 220 minus your age) and leave for at least 15-20 minutes. It's pretty easy to keep track of the water you drink each day, and to make sure you get two liters (or about 64 ounces). Good night's sleep every night - you need eight hours, even if you think that goes well with less (remember, your goal is not achieved through a busy week or a month, but to get a body that can last you many more weeks and months than it should). And you have to supplement your nutrition with vitamins, minerals and herbs that your body can not get from the modern American diet today.

Sounds like a fundamental change in your lifestyle? Think about this: If you always do what you always did, you always get what I have always. In other words, if you want to change your health, you have to change their health habits! But if a full program of the NEWSS seems intimidating, start with small changes in each of the five areas. If you can not buy a book and reading up on a nutrition program all the way, start by cutting the junk out of your daily diet. You know when you're eating something that has no nutritional value ... cut it out! It's not as hard to replace something healthy with fresh fruit or vegetables and your body will thank you years from now for any effort made in this area today. Unable to join the gym and work every day? Try just taking a brisk walk or two every day. Buy a bottle of water and count the time to fill and empty all day. Find out how you can add just 30 minutes to any dream that you are receiving now - starting tonight. And when you drop by the store to buy carrots and celery sticks, drink at least a good multi-vitamin base.

The main idea is to adopt an attitude of personal responsibility. Do not assume that the health care system of government will be there to take care of you ... do what you can to take care of yourself! If you can not go to medical school and perform their own surgeries (not recommended), do what you can to prevent and stop their own potential future need for surgery. There can be a very important life forever, but the changes you make today can surely pay huge dividends in the future.

Starting a business on the side is another way of taking personal responsibility for the future of health. If you start a business related to health, you stay focused on their own health and to help ward off another recession, fueling government "reforms." Maybe you have a call to return to school and become a nutritionist, or a chiropractor or massage therapist ... that's great! But in all likelihood, would be more appropriate to start an Internet business at home as a sideline to his concert a normal day. You can enter an Internet business for a fraction of the investment that had to be opened, for example, a massage ... and you can set your own hours and grow your business at your own pace.
